Memorial to the Great Patriotic War - Gotesti

This Soviet-era World War II memorial features a somber statue of a Red Army soldier standing before a weathered concrete obelisk covered in cracks and flaking paint. The soldier, likely cast in bronze , wears a long military overcoat and cap, with his head bowed and hands resting on a lowered rifle. At the base, a tiled pedestal bears a Russian inscription: "Вечная слава воинам-односельчанам, павшим в боях за свободу и независимость нашей Родины. 1941–1945 гг.", translated in English as "Eternal glory to the fellow villagers who fell in the battles for the freedom and independence of our Motherland. 1941–1945."
