Bus Stop - Molochișul Mare

A whitewashed shelter with a thin cantilevered slab roof of elliptical plan, its solid rear box flanked by open bays on slender rounded columns. This is a typical design in this part of Moldova/Pridnestrovia. A blue metal sign on the roof reads Б.МОЛОКИШ, the Russian form of the village name: Болшой Молокиш or “Large Molokish/Molochisul Mare” – it’s the first time I’ve seen a shortened version of a name on a Soviet bus stop.
