Bus Stop - Lozova
Necunoscut — 1960s-1980s
Descriere
This bus stop in Lozova is built of concrete or bricks with a heavy flat roof. Mosaics cover the two curving walls supporting the roof; two neighboring columns and two benches are set in the recessed part of the shelter, providing protection. The decoration consists of abstract patterns in blues, yellows, and creams, set against a field of dark tesserae. Semi-circular motifs repeat across the surface, recalling Romanian or Moldovan embroidery or textile patterns. I like the decaying and weathered Soviet-era "A" at the stop. The newer blue and white one continues this design, framed in a circle. Its condition is adequate. Recently, workers have repaved the shelter’s pavements. The bus stop architecture mirrors that found in Bursuc, though this one has an opening in the middle.
