Bus Stop - Camenca South

Necunoscut1960s-1980s

Descriere

A brick shelter under a triple-gabled blue timber roof, each pitch edged with a sawtooth fretwork bargeboard. A bargeboard (also called a vergeboard or gableboard – I do not make these terms up) is an angled board fastened to the projecting edge of a pitched roof. It hides the exposed ends of roof timbers and protects them from weather. Moldova is known for such architecture, and Moldovans would traditionally decorate their house with specific emblems to differentiate their family dwelling from that of others, though this tradition is facing. Nonetheless, this influence on the bus stop is clear. Workers have repainted the bus stop recently, like in much of northern Pridnestrovie; blue and white are the colors of the Camenca flag.
