Mosaic - Sun and Agriculture - Beloci

A freestanding mosaic is a pleasant surprise on the road heading south, featuring not one but two suns. The tesserae are industrially made, forming irregular fragments of broken ceramic tile in blue, cream, terracotta and black. On the left, a woman’s extended arms point to the left – perhaps a factory, farm or another point? On the right, a muscular, shirtless man seems to be pointing in the same direction as his companion, though it’s difficult to say as much of the central part of the image has fallen. Both figures are rendered in the flattened folk-modernist manner.
