House of Culture - Camenca

A symmetrical two-storey palace of culture in restrained Stalinist Empire dress, ochre walls and a pedimented central portico of four square columns carrying the legend “ДОМ КУЛЬТУРЫ » (DOM KULTURY, house of culture) . A lyre emblem sits in the tympanum, sprays of relief leaves and a Soviet red star flank the upper windows. Recently repainted and well kept. Dated 1962, late for the classical idiom.
